Phil Martelli deserves better. After 24 years, he was the dean of Big 5/6 coaches, and the man you wanted to coach your kid.
A gentlemen, a scholar and a winner. But he didn’t win enough. He made great runs to The Great 8 with Jameer Nelson, Delonte West and Dwayne Jones.
But that was a while ago.
