Forget Mike Trout. Or not! It all depends if The Angels extend him forever for a gazillion dollars. Crazy money! We call it “Bobby Bonilla” money. That was the first ridiculous contract that was more of an albatross for the Mets than an advantage on the field.
But what if Trout balks at the Angels and $450,000,000 for 12 years making Trout 38 years old. Only Pete Rose could hit at that age.
If…… Trout could end up with the Phillies by the end of the day in a blockbuster trade. If he says no, there might be 4 or 5 Phillies going to the Angels by 5pm today.
The Angels may be forced in to a trade if Trout passes on the monster extension. Let’s see!
