A week after he became a Flyer, we bumped into Simmer at the AHL Outdoor game at The Bank. It was Sharon & Dom’s first date. We bumped into them too. Simmer took photos with everyone. His girlfriend was kinda ticked. I wrote a note to Big Ed to tell him how much a gentlemen Simmer was. I wrote he’s what a Flyer is all about. Got a quick response. Big Ed said he’s definitely a keeper. That was 500 games ago. I still think he’s a keeper. 🙏God Bless Wayne Simmonds & The Flyers!
