Not In My Back Yard. It is a symbol of fear and ignorance. Rarely does it help a neighborhood, but man, does it hurt it. In fact, protest is better served at the negotiating table than it does at just trying to kill an urban project. Amazon leaving NYC will not destroy it. NYC is the greatest city in the history of the world. But when destroying is The NIMBY battle cry, we all lose.
